(I’ll save this for later…) Then the episode has this really long, protracted and awful gross-out joke where Lincoln eats a lint-covered bagel covered in boogers and dog hair. So Lisa, in an attempt to “cheer up” Lincoln, recommends foraging under the cushions for food… like an animal. I’m gonna mention that Lincoln didn’t do anything wrong a lot. I kind of get why they chose to have this scene, they want to establish that Lori and Leni have a problem, and I see why Luna wouldn’t let Leni into the kitchen… but why not Lincoln? I can understand that Lori would be mad at Leni but Lincoln didn’t do anything wrong… If Luna left him alone, then Lincoln would’ve got in, got his food, and he wouldn’t have even bothered Lori by bringing it up, so why exclude the innocent bystander who did nothing wrong? She and Leni had a major throwdown.”Īnd so she doesn’t let Lincoln into the kitchen. Kitchen’s off limits, Lori’s in there cooling off. So the episode starts off rather fast, within 10 seconds they get right into the thick of things by having Luna stop Lincoln from going into the kitchen. You know what, sometimes a reputation is accurate and deserved, because this was actually worse than I thought it would be! And unlike other reviled and hated things, I found almost nothing to like or appreciate.Īnd I’m gonna review it, calmly… because this is a foe that requires intellect to defeat… It's time to deal with some dysfunction. When I woke up on January 11 th of this year and heard everybody on DA freaking the fuck out about Brawl in the Family, I thought to myself, “Oh, come on! This can’t be that terrible… How bad could this episode be?” So usually, when I watch a hated thing, I expect the worst, that way, the good things about it surprise me even more. This doesn’t just apply to MLP either, I thought that Love God and Sock Opera from Gravity Falls were both fantastic Mabel episodes and I was one of the few who actually enjoyed Weirdmageddon 2. Hell, I even think that Princess Spike isn’t that bad… (It’s currently the least terrible of the bad MLP episodes I have seen) I’ve found things I like about The Cutie Pox, Show Stoppers, Svengallop, Cart Before the Ponies. A bunch of people called 28 Pranks Later a mean-spirited mess but I loved that episode and I consider it one of the funniest episodes in the franchise. In fact, a lot of the time, I actually like the thing, or at the very least I find things that are worth liking…Ī fuckton of people hated Zephyr Breeze but I fucking love that guy, his episode’s in my Top 5 season 6 episodes and he was my second favourite character introduced in his season. The funny thing about me is that oftentimes, whenever I hear about an episode that is obscenely, terribly, inescapably bad, I generally don’t have much of a reaction when I already watch the thing… Because I go into it expecting the worst, I don’t get shocked by its bullshit. I already introduced myself in the letter, I’m not doing the I’m AstonLevy bit… Oh, sorry about that, I was just in the middle of writing a letter… Also can you guys try to give Lynn more character development and not have her totally fucking su… I’m super hyped for your movie… Also give Luna more episodes… And a couple Lisa episodes wouldn’t hurt either… No, seriously, how did this happen? I can’t believe that a show this good made an episode like this… What went wrong? At what point did this episode go to hell? I only have one question to ask you about that episode… I love a lot of the episodes you guys make but I recently saw an episode called Brawl in the Family… The show has done many great things and I’m glad that your show has led to a new creative renaissance from Nickelodeon. I appreciate how your show isn’t about Lincoln and his 10 sisters but about living and adapting to life with such a huge family. I like Lincoln a lot and Lola is my favourite Loud sibling… I love your cartoon’s innocence, I love its amazing Charlie Brown meets Family Circus art style, I love the comedy and the show’s ability to be funny, heartwarming and sincere. My name is AstonLevy, I am 22 years old and I love your show very very much.
